Albert R. Mann Library

Mann’s services and collections staff works most closely with the library’s patrons and are responsible for building and preserving the library’s collections in agriculture, life sciences and human ecology. The Department also provides improved access to literature in agriculture and for researchers in the developing world.

We provide answers to a wide range of questions at our information, circulation, and computing center desks. Our staff’s expertise covers a wide variety of topics ranging from bioinformatics, geographical information systems and research data, to Endnote and copyright. We also provide outreach support to the local community and to Cooperative Extension agencies across the state.

Our Services and Collections staff offer a range of Instructional services for faculty, staff, students, and other partners, library research sessions tailored to specific courses or groups, workshops on everything from general research and geographic information systems to blogs and bioinformatics, and consultations for individuals or
groups.

Once our patrons have discovered what library materials they need to complete their research, our Access Services and Media Support division handles circulation, reserves, interlibrary loan & document delivery, and stacks management to put the right materials into the patron's hands.
