Renovation News
The front doors are open! The renovation of the original Mann Library building is almost complete, and the main Mann lobby between Warren Hall and the Plant Sciences Building is welcoming students, faculty, researchers and visitors to a 21st century research facility. Come see our progress. . .
Public Services and Computers
Floors 1 through 4 of Mann Library are open for public use. Public service desks for Circulation, Reference and Technical Help are located on the first floor of Mann Library. Also housed on the first floor is the John Lemuel Stone Computing Center, with a fully equipped computer classroom, an extensive array of computer workstations, scanners, black & white, color printing, and color plotters for color poster printing. The CIT classroom adjoining Mann Library can be accessed from the front lobby. Laptops can be borrowed at the Circulation desk. Stacks -Our Collection
The Mann Library collection consists of various specialized collections as well as general stacks. These collections are housed throughout the library, with the general stacks on floors 2, 3 and 4. For further detail about the collections housed at Mann Library can be found on our floor plans page. Unless marked otherwise, all books in Mann's open stacks are circulating volumes and may be checked out by anyone holding a valid Cornell University ID or privilege card.
Study Facilities
Mann Library provides a plentiful number of study desks on each floor. All desks are equipped with electrical outlets for laptop use and many desks have Ethernet cables. Wireless Internet is also available throughout the library. Mann has a limited number of storage lockers as well as individual, group, and graduate study rooms. Photocopying
Black and white photocopiers for public use are available on the first, third, and fourth floors of Mann Library. Mann Library does not offer a photocopying service at this time.
- Copier costs for 8 ½ x 11 are 15 cents without a vendacard or 10 cents with a vendacard.
- Copier costs for 11 x 17 are 30 cents without a vendacard or 20 cents with vendacard.
- Vendacards may be purchased at the Circulation desk, or from vendacard dispensers on the library's 1st floor.
Please ask at the circulation desk for assistance with the copiers or vendacards.
