Mann's public services staff works most closely with the library's patrons.
We provide answers to a wide range of questions at our reference desk as well as via phone, e-mail and chat (see Talk to Us page for contact info). Our staff's subject expertise covers a variety of topics, ranging from Bioinformatics & GIS to Endnote & Census data. We also provide outreach support to the local community and to Cooperative Extension agencies across the state.
In addition, we offer a range of instructional services for faculty, staff, students, and other partners: library research sessions tailored to specific courses or groups, workshops on everything from general research and geographic information systems to blogs and bioinformatics, and consultations for individuals or groups.
Once our patrons have discovered what library materials they need to complete their research, our Access Services unit handles circulation, reserves, interlibrary loan & document delivery, and stacks management to put the right materials into the patron's hands.
