As part of our outreach initiatives we offer library orientation sessions for new CCE staff, extension offices site visits by library staff, videoconferencing training sessions, and a document delivery service to Extension staff. Our suite of services includes reference help and personalized consultations, as well. Read below for more details.

Library Orientation Sessions for New CCE Staff

Designed to introduce Mann Library's services and resources available to you, these sessions can be in person or via videoconferencing. The Library orientation sessions are usually part of the New CCE Staff Orientation In-Service organized by the Administration Office of CCE, but if you would like to request a session directly from Mann Library, please contact Camille Andrews, Instruction Coordinator at ca92@cornell.edu.

Site Visits

If you would like to learn about Mann Library's resources and services without having to come to Ithaca, we'd be happy to visit your extension office, present at an Extension conference or event, or use the videoconferencing capabilities of CCE. The sessions are customized to the particular needs of the audience and can include a presentation on marketing, nutrition, agricultural resources (including statistical information), online information competency, reference management software packages, and many others. If you would like to request a site visit or to include a presentation by Mann Library staff in an event you are organizing, please contact Howard Raskin, Assistant Head of Public Services at hbr1@cornell.edu.

Document Delivery
