GIS Software and Hardware
Software
The Stone "Classroom" computers have the following software installed:
- ArcGIS 9.2
- ArcView 3.2
- Manifold 8.0
Obtaining software for your own computer:
- Manifold: free to Cornell users; see Installing Manifold at Cornell for more information.
- ArcGIS: CALS users contact Steve Smith sds3@cornell.edu, all other users contact Steve Gallow scg2@cornell.edu.
- HTML Image Mapper: free to Cornell users; available from the CALS software download page.
Hardware
The Stone Computing Center has scanners, printers, and three color plotters. Note that there are special instructions for printing from ArcGIS to the color plotters.
Mann Library also has two global positioning system (GPS) units available for loan at the circulation desk, a Garmin 76CS and 76CSx.
